EchoNous Launches Kosmos Tablet G1: Purpose-Built Rugged Android Platform for the Kosmos Ultrasound System
Custom-Engineered with Getac, Kosmos Tablet G1 Delivers Military-Grade Durability, Out-of-the-Box Simplicity, and Intelligent All-in-One POCUS Capabilities

REDMOND, Wash., [DATE] — EchoNous, a leader in point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS), today announced the launch of Kosmos Tablet G1, a rugged Android computing platform for the Kosmos ultrasound system. Custom-engineered through an exclusive partnership with Getac, a global leader in ruggedized mobile technology, Kosmos Tablet G1 is a variant of the Getac ZX10 tablet built for and only available through EchoNous. General sales are available now, with military availability following in Fall 2026.
Built Rugged. Built for Kosmos.
Powered by the Getac ZX10, the lightest 10″ fully-rugged Android tablet on the market, Kosmos Tablet G1 is certified to MIL-STD 810H with a 6-foot drop rating, IP66-rated against dust and high-pressure water, and operable from -20°F to 145°F (-29°C to 63°C). The Qualcomm QCS6490 processor with integrated Neural Processing Unit makes it AI-ready by design, paired with dual swappable batteries for extended scanning, a sunlight-readable 10″ LumiBond display, and Wi-Fi 6E.
Ready from the First Scan
Kosmos Tablet G1 ships factory-configured with the Kosmos app pre-loaded for easy setup. A Wi-Fi connection registers probe licenses and the system is ready to scan, dramatically reducing deployment time for fleets. The platform is fully compatible with Kosmos Link.
Advanced Capabilities Across the Full Kosmos Fleet
Kosmos Tablet G1 brings OB/GYN, Kosmos Bladder, Vascular Annotation, and DICOM TLS to the Kosmos Android platform — features now available across the full Kosmos fleet. DICOM TLS encrypts image transmission from Kosmos to PACS or third-party DICOM destinations, delivering the data protection IT teams and biomedical engineers increasingly require.

Kosmos Tablet G1 is an exceptional fit for bladder scanning, where a factory-ready configuration and rugged chassis deliver a consistent experience for nursing staff, and for military and government healthcare customers requiring MIL-STD compliance. For health systems pursuing an Android alternative to iPad-based POCUS workflows, it adds enterprise OEMConfig management.
