Chief Executive Officer

Senior level Executive with 40+ years ultrasound industry experience including 25+ years of successful senior global leadership in early stage and well established organizations such as ATL, Acuson, and SonoSite. Prior to EchoNous, he served as CEO of German based medical device company specializing in tablet based ultrasound systems and joined EchoNous in October 2020. Has a Degree in Electronic Engineering and an Executive MBA.

Chief Financial Officer

Seasoned CFO with a proven track record in startup, growth, turnaround, large and small businesses. Expertise in creating processes for efficient growth and positive ROI. Multiple experiences in private and public capital raising, corporate purchase and sale transactions, licensing and new business development.

Todd Willsie

Executive VP and CTO

Todd is an ultrasound industry veteran with 30 years of experience who worked on one of the first handheld ultrasound systems available. He received a BSEE degree from Washington State University and began his career in computer graphics but soon joined the ultrasound engineering community in the Seattle, WA area. Once starting to work on ultra portable ultrasound devices, he has never looked back and continues to push engineering limits to deliver the best solutions for clinicians. When not working, Todd can often be found sailing or bike riding.

Jim Lucas

VP, EMEA

Jim comes to EchoNous with more than 27 years of medical technology experience at the likes of Philips, SonoSite and Terason, having held EMEA leadership roles in business and product development. His background in all aspects of product commercialization brings a strong perspective to the EchoNous team. Jim holds a degree in Medical Physics and Physiology from Cardiff University, A PgC in Medical Imaging (Ultrasound) from Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge and an MBA from Swansea University, UK.

VP, Asia Pacific

Initially trained in Radiography and with post graduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound (in his Native New Zealand) Mark comes to EchoNous with 25 years of experience in Medical Technology Sales and Marketing across Australia, New Zealand and Asian Pacific for Philips, Paragon Care and Butterfly. His background is in leading organizations by combining his clinical, technical and commercial knowledge to add insight and value.

VP, Japan

Takatsuna Kitagawa has 24 years of Ultrasound experience and 20 years of Country Management Experience. He developed the Japanese POCUS market from zero, where the market did not exist. He has worked at EchoNous as a Managing Director for Japan from 2015-2017 and is presently the Vice President of Japan since 2020.

Rebecca Penn

General Counsel

Rebecca L. Penn began her legal career representing hospitals, healthcare systems and energy companies as outside litigation counsel. Thereafter she worked as both outside general counsel and litigation counsel for various public and private healthcare systems, physician groups and corporate clients. She is a graduate of the University of Washington (BA,2003) and of the Seattle University School of Law (JD,2007).
